BYU and U of U Fans Unite (For Once)!

I think everyone who follows us is well aware that the benefit Car Show is coming up in a few weeks, as we have been talking about it with each week’s post for a while now. It has been absolutely heart-warming to witness all of the people that have come forward and donated towards the event, and we thank them all from the bottom of our hearts! Speaking of such, we recently were gifted a set of two football helmets representing the University of Utah and BYU!

These are legitimate football helmets that were beautifully designed by an artistic associate of JP’s and we are going to auction them off at the car show. The funds raised will be donated directly to the Operation Zero PCR non-profit organization, which is actively in the fight against veteran suicide. This organization connects our veterans in need to a number of resources that allow them to stay in the good fight. An estimated 22 veterans a day lose this fight, and the numbers are tragically rising. That’s 22 too many!

As everyone knows, money helps make things happen and opens the doors of opportunity. All of the money donated to this great organization at our event will make it possible for them to reach even more veterans in need and help give them even more access to the resources necessary to get them through their struggle and back to a successful life, leaving no service member behind. We don’t leave our wounded in combat, and we certainly don’t ditch them after their job is done. They need us to limp them back to safety.

Please join us August 26th for a day of fun and charity at 3675 S. 300 W. in Salt Lake City, from 10 – 3. We are so excited to add the auction of the helmets to our plans for the day and we hope to see you all there! Let’s show our veterans that Salt Lake City cares! If you are interested in donating goods or services or loaning gear to the success of the event, let us know! See you there, and thanks in advance for your generosity!
