I can think of several instances where FOMO (fear of missing out) is a very real and actual thing. Like the time you wanted to go to Mexico with your high school friends for a graduation celebration, but your parents didn’t trust you (rightfully so), so they got you a parrot instead. Can’t go to Mexico, but here’s a 20-year commitment you can have instead! Or the time when you really wanted to go to that concert with all of your friends. You got in line for the tickets. You waited hours. Then the last ticket was sold to the person in front of you, who you thought was one of your best friends. Guess they didn’t feel the same way.
Yes, FOMO is a real thing, but I’m here to save you from your next possible FOMO experience. JP’s Collision Center is hosting a Car Show on August 26th, and you will want to be there! Trust me on this one. Beautiful cars, food, prizes, and great people coming together for a great cause. You could just sit home on your couch and wonder why your life is so boring or piddle around in the garden, but that would be a waste of an epic day! Grab your kids, wives, husbands, cousins, and relatives twice-removed and get out to 3675 S. 300 W. and join us! Leave the FOMO to someone else this time!
All joking aside, the real reason behind the car show is raising money for a non-profit called Operation Zero- Veteran Suicide Prevention. This is an organization unlike any other non-profit that claims to put their Veterans first. The car show itself is free, we just ask that you make whatever donation to this organization that you feel comfortable with. Why did JP choose this organization to donate to this year? Because the people that stand behind and hold up this particular non-profit have their hearts in the right place. They are all volunteers, they are all veterans themselves, and they believe that you must “be the change you wish to see”. Come join us and help be a part of that change. Let’s get our good Karma on, have fun, and not miss out on a day that people will be talking about for a long time!
Want to be involved? Contact JP at (801)266-7791 if you are interested in sponsoring or donating prizes for the event, or if you’d like to help with the event itself. Thanks again to everyone that has donated thus far!
